Terms of service
The agreement under which you use this website and the Schoolly application.
Last updated: 9 August 2026
About the application
Schoolly is school management software. It covers students and families, classes and timetables, attendance, grades, finances, communication, documents, and parent and student portals. It is built for tutoring centres, language schools, conservatories, academies and schools of any size.
The application runs entirely in the browser and data is held on cloud infrastructure. Using it requires an email account, an internet connection and a modern, supported browser.
Registration is free and gives immediate access to the free plan. By creating an account you accept these terms; if you do not agree with any of them, do not use the service.
Who you are contracting with
The service is provided by Datanetic Solutions, Υψηλάντου 34, 153 51 Παλλήνη, VAT number EL141510855. For any question about these terms, write to info@schoolly.gr.
Accounts and registration details
When you register you give us your details — email, first and last name, and your school's details. They must be true, accurate and complete, and you must keep them up to date. We reserve the right to suspend access temporarily or permanently, or to delete an account, if even one of the details given is untrue.
The account belongs to the school, not to the person who created it. You may invite colleagues and set what each of them sees and can do per module; you remain responsible for what is done with the access you grant.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secret. If you suspect someone else has gained access to your account, tell us immediately.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the application solely to run your educational organisation. Any other use is prohibited.
The service may not be used to send unsolicited bulk email (spam), to send marketing to recipients who did not ask for it, for phishing, to post or distribute unlawful, abusive or harmful content, to attempt to reach another school's data, to scrape data in bulk, or in any way that degrades the service for other users.
You may not hold data in the application that you have no right to hold. We do not review in advance and are not responsible for the content users enter or the messages they send through the application. Finding any of the above gives us the right to cut off access to the service.
Plans, limits and billing
Every new account starts on the free plan, with the option to upgrade to a monthly or yearly subscription as your needs require. Plans are priced by the number of students enrolled in the current teaching period, as set out on the pricing page; a school starting a new period starts the count again.
Listed prices exclude VAT. VAT is calculated at checkout from the country and VAT number you have given; businesses in another member state with a valid VIES number are handled under the reverse charge.
Subscriptions are paid in advance and renew on their own clock. Activating a paid plan requires payment of its full value by electronic payment, made only inside the application. We neither receive nor store card details; the payment provider handles those.
The invoice is issued automatically by the application. Every subscription document, debit or credit, sits inside the application where you can view it and download it; nothing is sent out by hand.
You may move to a larger or smaller plan before the current one ends. Where you do, the value of the unused days is credited to your account and set against future purchases by the same school. Money is not refunded in any case.
Add-ons
Some features are sold as add-ons on top of an active paid subscription. An add-on is charged pro rata for the days left in the current cycle and then renews together with the subscription, on the same clock. Cancelling an add-on takes effect at the next renewal and gives rise to no refund.
The free plan
The free plan has no end date and requires no payment details. It carries the limits published on the pricing page and gives access to the core features of the application. We may change those limits for new accounts; for existing accounts we will give notice first.
What happens when a subscription lapses
If a subscription expires without being renewed, the account returns to the free plan. Your data is not deleted and access is not withdrawn: you can still read, edit and export everything you have entered.
What stops is enrolling new students beyond the free plan's limit, until the subscription is renewed.
Your data
The records you enter remain yours. You can export them at any time, including on the free plan.
We do not use them to train anything, do not sell them, and do not share them except as needed to run the service or as required by law.
As far as personal data is concerned, the school is the controller and we act as its processor on its instructions. The detail is in the privacy and data protection policy.
Rights in the application
All content of the application and of this website — software and code, text, images, graphics, designs, logos and marks — is the exclusive intellectual property of Datanetic Solutions and is protected by Greek and international law.
For as long as your account exists you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the application for your organisation's purposes. Copying, modifying, decompiling, reselling, renting or sublicensing the application is prohibited.
The records you enter are expressly excluded: they remain yours and we acquire no rights over them.
Availability, maintenance and support
We aim to keep the service continuously available. We take regular backups and give notice of planned maintenance where we reasonably can.
The service is nevertheless provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will meet every expectation, that it will run without interruption or error, or that it will work with every device, browser or network. Using it, and any download or upload of files, is at the user's own risk.
Support is by email at info@schoolly.gr, in Greek and English, on working days.
Liability
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, for loss of data caused by your own actions or those of a third party, or for any damage caused to the computer or other device used to access the application.
We are not liable for interruptions or faults caused by events beyond our control, such as force majeure, failures at hosting or network providers, power cuts and attacks by third parties.
In any event, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the event. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, in particular for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
Personal data
How personal data is collected, used and protected is described in the privacy and data protection policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.
For the student, family and staff data entered into the application, the school is the controller and we are its processor. That relationship is governed by a separate data processing agreement, which we provide on request.
Changes to these terms
We reserve the right to revise and update these terms. Any change is published on this page and the date at the top changes with it; material changes are also announced inside the application.
If you do not agree with the new terms, you are free to stop using the service. Continuing to use it means you accept them.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time. Before you do, export your data from the application.
Where illegal activity is suspected, your account may be suspended or temporarily disabled. If these terms are breached, we may end the account and access to it; we will tell you why.
We will delete your account and all the data it holds on your written request to info@schoolly.gr, except for what we are required to keep for tax or legal reasons. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Greek law and the courts of Athens have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If any term is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest remain in full force.
